Thursday- Eco chic wedding week

B.Mingled Wedding Week 2014

Thursday – Attention to details.

At B.Mingled we always focus on the details. We never miss an opportunity to design creatively distinct and interesting pieces to impress guests and make an event one to remember.

Once we were done with the overall design (for our featured Eco-Chic wedding photoshoot), color scheme, ambiance, decor, floral and table scaping, we focused on the finishing touches. It was all of those little elements which created the cohesive look throughout the wedding day and even further enhanced the idea of recycling, reusing and repurposing.

Inspired by a green wedding theme, I folded the pages of an old book, and created the table numbers and a LOVE sign. The word “Love” was also stamped onto small paper baskets, which were used for the flower girls and the dessert bar.

Expanding the idea of making something pretty out of the paper towel rolls, I cut them into napkin rings and embellished them with coffee beans, which complimented the organic, earthy feel of the centerpieces. The menu cards were wrapped in cabbage leaves and tied with cooking twine. We chose unique glasses made of recycled wine bottles.

To finish the tablescaping design, I bent a metal wire to create our signature "Bride and Groom" table settings (first shown at the Washingtonian Bride & Groom Unveiled Show https://www.facebook.com/mmolduvanova/media_set?set=a.10203032198953849.1073741847.1471348317&type=1 ). A wire “Thank You” tag, along with personalized monogram sticker were used for the favors.

To continue with the personalization, and in celebration of the new family, we created a monogram sign made out of recycled paper products with "Mr. & Mrs." embellished with carpenter screws. Additionally, we cut the letter K out of leftover planting cups and filled them with dried cherry blossoms for guests to toss at the new couple.

Look out for some yummy details in tomorrow’s post.
