**Happy Holidays** (and a quick, nutty recipe)
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays
Here's a last minute recipe idea for a holiday party: "Spicy Cajun Party Nuts" (in case you received a delayed invite, burnt the pies, or just plain procrastinated)!
This is super quick, easy, and yummy!
Preheat oven to 250 degrees
Ingredients:
3 tbsp butter
3 cups plain mixed nuts
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce
1/2 tsp seasoned salt
cajun spice mix (to add as needed)
Melt butter in microwave-safe dish.
Place mixed nuts in a single layer on a cookie sheet.
Remove butter from microwave. Stir in remaining ingredients (except cajun spice mix).
Drizzle butter mixture over nuts & stir to coat.
Lightly sprinkle cajun spice mix on top of nuts to add additional "kick" as desired.
Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until nuts are crisp, stirring every 20 minutes.
Remove from oven & cool to room temp.
Store in air tight container for up to 1 month.
